On May 31, the Hôtel du Nord “Le Pari Vélo” will close its doors permanently.
Opened in December 2002, we have had the pleasure of welcoming travelers from all over the world to our establishment;
Professionals on assignment in Paris, or tourists coming to discover the capital. Kala, Vijitha, Leka, our faithful maids,
Daniel, Alex, Ali, Merzouk, Hedi, Hakim, Grégory, Guillaume, Simona, all our trainees (Blandine, David, Melissa, Sulaman, Evan) were keen to receive
in a warm setting, off the beaten track. Our homemade jams surprised more than one, our bicycles, available free of charge,
roamed the streets for almost 20 years. Pluto (he left us in 2019) and Lalka, our two dogs watched everyone’s comings and goings.

Our hotel is a small one with 23 rooms that are warm, cozy and attractively decorated. When our guests arrive, we give them a key to the entrance door to the hotel as well as a room key. Right away everyone feels at home or rather, in a guesthouse. Our rooms are all different, each one has its own style: Oriental, pop, empire, Pompei, and so on….
We take particular care with the breakfast, served in the basement with its old-fashioned stone ceiling.

Our breakfast consists in croissants, the traditional baguette and whole-grain bread, made not by an industrial bakery but by our local baker. The jams are homemade, prepared by us using quality fruits. All the products we use are chosen and furnished by local shops.
Our guesthouse is located in a central district animated by its residents. It is a popular district for Parisians that is famous for its picnics along the Canal Saint-Martin, its bars, its restaurants and small local shops. All around you will find many Parisian brands, boutiques, bookstores, and food stores. We have selected them and tested them before recommending them.
For getting around in Paris we have bicycles that are freely available during your stay. This is also part of our approach.

Its 23 rooms are warm, human and modest. Each of them has its own decoration. You can discover the Pompeii room, Chamber Pop, the Chinese, the African room or the room old posters. Here you will find many shops of proximity: cheesemonger, deli, butcher, bakers, shops, libraries, records store. For outings, theatres and cinemas are accessible by metro or on foot. We will share with you all our good addresses of bars and restaurants.

We pay special attention to the quality of the breakfast, bread and pastries are not delivered by the usual industrial networks. We recive from the Baker of our district. Traditional Parisian baguette, bread grains and real growing butter. Our special homemade jams, we strive to offer three scents depending on the season. Among the most popular and the most amazing; jam from petals of roses and Zucchini jam. Our fruits come in part from producers Picards.
